Our supervision service
** Please note I do not have spaces for student counsellors in 2022 **
Supervision is provided by Julia Scott, an accredited and experienced counsellor and approved supervisor for the National Counselling Society.
Julia has a Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision from the University of Wales, Newport, and is experienced in supervising counsellors on a one-to-one basis and in groups, on a private basis and in organisational settings.
Julia has supervised counsellors working in private practice and for a range of agencies, including The Bridge, Western Counselling, Somewhere House, Network Counselling and Cruse.
Supervision approach
Julia’s supervision model is integrative, based on her person-centred philosophy and practice, and drawing from Hawkins and Shohet’s seven-eyed process model and the normative, formative and restorative tasks of supervision (Inskipp and Proctor, 1993, 1995). Her aims are to facilitate your process of exploration and reflection on your work and on your therapeutic relationships, helping you to develop your own ‘internal supervisor’, and to support you in taking care of yourself.
Julia is open to enquiries from qualified counsellors seeking individual or group supervision, and from organisations looking for supervisors for their counsellors and other staff.
Enquiries from other professionals are also welcome, for example teachers, pastors and healthcare professionals, who feel they would benefit from a confidential space to reflect on their practice.
For further information, or to arrange a no-obligation initial meeting, please email Julia at enquiries@counsellingwestonsupermare.co.uk or use the contact form.
