Self-Guided MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction)
This free online MBSR course is based on the University of Massachusetts Medical Center’s MBSR program. This free, web-based version of MBSR is designed to give those who would otherwise be unable to attend an MBSR course in person the opportunity to learn and practise the skills of MBSR.
The Self-Guided course begins with an Introduction/Orientation which is designed to give you a sense of what mindfulness is and how this course is structured. For each of the following eight weeks, there are videos, readings and practices which help you build a base of knowledge and experience. While most of what you will need is available right here, through this web site or others we’ll direct you to, we recommend you also get hold of a copy of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Full Catastrophe Living, as there will be suggestions for readings throughout the eight week course.
