From 17th January 2013, clients can now pay for their sessions by debit or credit card, either online in advance or face-to-face at the beginning of the session.
Because cheques can no longer be guaranteed, and because bounced cheques can cause embarrassment and disrupt the counselling process, I will no longer accept cheques after 28th February 2013.
Similarly, because Direct Debit payments are not immediate, I will not be accepting payments via GoCardless after 28th February 2013.
I currently accept the following payment methods:
- Cash or debit/credit card at the beginning of the session
- PayPal or debit/credit card (online or over the phone) in advance of the session
- Barclays Pingit before or at the beginning of the session
- Cheques and Direct Debit up until 28th February 2013.
I hope these changes will prove to be convenient for clients and beneficial to the therapeutic relationship.
