How does counselling help?
Counselling provides you with a confidential, non-judgmental space in which you can come to understand yourself and your feelings more deeply, and in which new perspectives and new possibilities for change can emerge. My role as your counsellor is not to give advice, but rather to facilitate self-exploration, change and growth. I won’t tell you what to do or pressurise you into making changes you don’t want to make, but you will be challenged to consider new and more empowering ways of thinking and behaving, which can lead to constructive changes and/or a greater acceptance of how things are.

You may not even have a specific problem to bring but are aware of underlying feelings of unhappiness or confusion.
Counselling can help with a wide range of issues and concerns, including:
I offer an introductory session at a reduced cost of £40, so that you can discuss your needs and get a sense of whether counselling or some other form of help is likely to be the most helpful way forward for you.
